In our commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, we actively engage in public consultations with various organisations and institutions. We are dedicated to sharing our expertise and advocating for diversity and inclusion, both in our local communities and on a broader scale. Stay tuned for updates on our continued involvement in shaping a more inclusive future through these valuable collaborations. You will find below some of the notable public consultations we have contributed to.
Equi participated in the first-of-its-kind, two-day summit hosted by the NSW and SA Governments, focused on the impacts of social media. The event brought together experts, policymakers, academics, young people, and community voices to discuss digital wellbeing. Equi offered its expertise in discussions on how regulatory approaches to digital safety can be inclusive and address the diverse needs of all young people.
We recently contributed to the Select Committee's Cost of Living inquiry. Our submission recognised the rising cost of living as a significant challenge, particularly for those already facing social and economic disadvantage. Our comprehensive submission centred on addressing these critical issues through an equity lens, offering well-researched, evidence-based recommendations.
We proudly contributed to the development of comprehensive guidelines on race discrimination in the workplace, reflecting our dedication to ensuring fair and inclusive working environments. Our active involvement in this consultation underscores our unwavering commitment to advocating for positive change and fostering workplaces where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered.
As Brisbane prepares to host the highly anticipated 2032 Olympics, we actively participated in important discussions and consultations regarding diversity and inclusion in this major international event. Our insights and recommendations aim to make the Olympics a truly inclusive and equitable experience for all participants, ensuring that everyone feels welcome, valued, and supported.
