Celebrating leadership that creates change
Each year, the Women of Influence spotlight coincides with International Women's Day, a time to celebrate progress while also acknowledging the work that remains. In 2026, the global theme from UN Women, Balance the Scales, highlights the importance of taking meaningful steps towards equality and ensuring women and girls everywhere have the opportunity to shape their own futures.
Although progress has been made, barriers such as structural inequality and limited access to opportunity still exist in many parts of the world. These challenges are not inevitable but reflect systems that can be changed through intentional leadership and collective action. Equality should not be an advantage for a few. It should represent opportunity for all.
